Podium Finishes in All Entered Classes, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Indonesia Dominates Again in the MLDSPOT Autokhana National Slalom Championship 2024 Series 2

Sidoarjo – TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Indonesia (TGRI) successfully maintained the performance of the All-New Agya GR Sport in the MLDSPOT Autokhana National Slalom Championship 2024 Series 2 at the Sidoarjo Public Service Mall (MPP) on Saturday (13/7). After gaining valuable experience in the first series last month, TGRI drivers secured championship titles in all entered classes, including first place in the Kejurnas F (Modified) class, Team F Championship, and Kejurnas Team A, along with double podium finishes in Kejurnas A, second place in Kejurnas Tandem, and second place in the Women's Championship.

"Congratulations to TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Indonesia (TGRI) for maintaining the competitiveness of the All-New Agya GR Sport, securing podium finishes in all entered classes at the MLDSPOT Autokhana National Slalom Championship 2024 Series 2. After the adaptation period in the previous series, TGRI drivers have started to sync with the race car, achieving championship titles in the entered classes, especially the prestigious F Class. We hope this impressive performance continues into the next series on the journey to becoming the overall champion of the 2024 National Slalom Championship," explained PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) Marketing Director, Anton Jimmi Suwandy.

In the first series of the National Slalom Championship 2024 last month, TGRI secured first place in Kejurnas F and Team F Championship, third place in Kejurnas Team A, third place in Kejurnas Tandem, and first place in the Women's Championship. These titles were achieved thanks to the continuous improvement of the All-New Agya GR Sport since the performance trials last year.

With growing chemistry with the All-New Agya GR Sport, TGRI slalom driver Adrianza Yunial clinched first place in the F Class (Modified) with the fastest time of 00:46.898 in the final round on Saturday (13/7). Despite the less-than-optimal times recorded by Anjasara Wahyu and Herdiko Setyaputra, the trio still managed to secure first place in the Team F Championship with a total time of 04:57.004 in this adrenaline-pumping class.

Proving that the All-New Agya GR Sport is highly reliable, TGRI competed fiercely with the standard A3 1.200cc class car in Kejurnas A. Even though most competitors raced with the A1 1.500cc class cars, Anjasara managed to break away from the pressure, placing second in Kejurnas A with a time of 00:52.062.

Performing with confidence, Adrianza closely followed in third place with a time of 00:52.144. Although Herdiko did not make it into the top 5, this positive result placed the three TGRI slalom drivers in first place in Kejurnas Team A with a total time of 05:09.801.

Anjasara and Adrianza demonstrated excellent teamwork to secure second place in Kejurnas Tandem with a total time of 01:40.818. The ever-anticipated performance by driver Alinka Hardianti inspired her to secure second place in the Women's Class with the All-New Agya GR Sport, recording a time of 00:54.468.

"In the second series of the 2024 National Slalom Championship, we were able to compete more optimally and synergize with the All-New Agya GR Sport thanks to the touch of TGRI engineers who maintained the competitiveness of our compact hot hatchback throughout the race. We hope this positive result motivates TGRI to consistently stay at the top to increase the chances of defending the national slalom championship title this year," explained TGRI driver, Adrianza Yunial.

"Toyota appreciates the sustained performance of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Indonesia (TGRI) racing team in the slalom event to maintain momentum in defending this year's prestigious national championship title. We hope the championship victories at the MLDSPOT Autokhana National Slalom Championship 2024 continue to improve in the next series and provide exciting entertainment to more people, especially motorsport enthusiasts, in line with the vision of spreading the joy of GR in Indonesia," added PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) Marketing Director, Hiroyuki Oide.
